Learning Possibilities Announces Launch of the LP+4 Learning Platform

LP+4 will be the first large scale educational deployment within the UK of its kind and is the latest example of Learning Possibilities’ early adoption of educational cloud technology, having provided online learning spaces for schools since 2003. The LP+4 platform uses a range of Microsoft technologies such as SharePoint2010, Exchange2010, Lync2010 and Dynamics CRM 2011 but it is the user experience that those within the company are most excited about.

“For us, LP+4 represents a major shift in our offerings – we have moved on from from a hosted SharePoint 2007 service, to a distinctive product built on SharePoint 2010 with new interfaces, a new menu ribbon and a move from an institution-centric platform to a use-centric one. Indeed a step change. LP+4 is also a major 5-year, multi-million pound investment for Learning Possibilities. We are currently upgrading our cloud offering, security and products. At this time, it’s a major statement of the confidence that both Stephen Heppell and I have in the business”, said Mehool Sanghrajka – Chief Executive, Learning Possibilities.

"Learning Possibilities is confident that LP+4 will lead to its continued growth at this difficult time for the public sector. We believe our continued investment in our learning platform and cloud services comes at a time when there is a strong focus on education and learning", Learning Possibilities’ Chairman, Stephen Heppell, said this morning,  "We are absolutely delighted with LP+4. We have developed a learning centred technology which will work across global geographies, cultures, languages and pedagogies. The time is right for a product like LP+4 that will be a very big step towards better learning for everyone. It’s exciting to see all our hard work come to fruition in design terms and we can’t wait to see what our family of creative teachers and learners will do with it!“

The official LP+4 launch will take place at Microsoft UK’s offices in Reading on November 22nd with other events planned across the country throughout the Autumn term. Find out more about LP+4 at www.lpplus4.com and follow the launch at on twitter via #lpplus4 or @tweetlpplus.
