Retail Management

Used by more than 2,000 companies, with 39,000 stores operating over 80,000 Point of Sale terminals worldwide, LS Retail is proven to simplify daily store operations by means of a centrally controlled software system across the entire retail chain.

Aimed at bettering user experiences, a retail solution based on LS Retail helps retailers level the playing field within a competitive environment, enabling the automation of Point of Sale (POS) processes, store operations, inventory management processes and reporting. The solution delivers the capability to connect and integrate the financial management and retail system across a multi-store network.

Featuring a role-centred experience, the solution grants store managers with access to a vast array of information, store alerts and KPIs. The solution is tailored to grow with the business, can easily be extended, and default workflows altered to meet different needs.

Powered by a secure, central database, the solution enables data to be copied and transmitted between POSs, sites and head office, providing users with a clear overview of data at any point in time, whilst enabling for a replica to be kept to make sure that data is never lost.

Dynamic POS Interface

The solution sets new standards for speed, ease-of-use and error free sales processing, through a graphical user interface that supports user-defined layouts and allows access to customer information that promotes connected relationships with clients at the POS. The POS layouts, styles and button operations can be customised down to different terminals, each handling different types of transactions within the same store.

Centralised Retail Operations

With powerful back-office functionality, both in-store and at the head office, the solution provides total activity control within the store and enables replication of data between POS terminals, back office and head office. Management at the head office can control item groupings in a specific store or store clusters to conform to local consumer preferences, deciding on the most profitable mix for the store’s unique customer segment.

Store Operations Set-Up

A central utility is used to set up retail products with their many variations, such as style, size and colour, as well as the POS and receipt layouts, promotions and other items required for the day-to-day operations. Tickets are setup by defining their validity window, maximum times they can be redeemed, activation method and type. Reminders may be set to the POS user at a particular point in a transaction to, for instance, send specific promotions or surveys.

Optimal Stock Level

Optimal Stock Level

The system uses demand forecasting and advanced statistical models to define the optimal safety stock levels for every item in every stock keeping location. Users can define exception reports to identify items that need special attention such as potential stock-outs, late deliveries and slow moving stock items.

Stock Replenishment

To calculate optimum stock replenishment levels, stock profiles are created based on item size, colour and style, which are combined in a matrix with store, store groups and store type profiles. Retailers can control the capital invested in products during the sales cycle to plan purchases, match demand for each period and ensure that money invested in stock is within set limits. By means of allocation plans, companies may prepare seasonal purchasing plans to help them in buying process planning, quantity, stores and customers allocations.

Restaurant Fine Dining

A graphical view of the restaurant area, featuring the design of the dining table layouts, can be generated on the POS. The POS can be setup to register number of guests per table, enabling users to take orders per guest and easily switch guests or change covers. Reservation options can be set for different reservation time-periods such as breakfast, lunch or dinner. Meal plans for each menu are identified per restaurant to assign the actual items to the menu, set the dish price and portion quantities. When selecting a recipe as a menu dish, the price choice is between the regular price and the recommended price, which can be set to change automatically from a specific date. The weekly menu planner shows the day plan for the selected menu and restaurant for one week at a time, with an overview of the dishes planned. The weekly sales overview shows the number of portions made versus portions sold and shows the cost and profit figures of day plans.

Delivery Service Management

The system offers contact management with multiple address registration and sales history tracking. Phone orders are registered at the call centre or restaurant. The order taking calendar, load scheduler and production timing schemes allow staff to time order production. Prepared orders are assigned to drivers, grouped to streets close to each other. The system registers the amount of float each driver receives. The drivers prepare a delivery trip by printing out the receipts for the orders assigned to them.
